Fuel Injectors must be sized to provide adequate fuel flow at maximum HP/RPM/Boost, while being small enough to provide low-enough flow during idle. Most PGM-FI systems have a minimum injector pulsewidth of 1 millisecond, which limits the upper limit of injector size. For example, a 1000cc injector will flood a stock 1.6L Honda engine at idle because 1Ms of pulsewidth is simply way too much fuel. We could go into a ton of theory here but by far, the most comprehensive explaination of injector sizing can be found at RC Engineering.

Injector Upgrades

A common upgrade for turbocharged or high-horsepower normally aspirated Hondas is replacing the stock injectors (usually 240cc or 290cc) with 450cc injectors from turbocharged 4-cylinder Mitsubishi and Chrysler vehicles (often called DSM for Diamond-Star Motors, a colaborative relationship between the two compnanies who's name is based on each of the company's logos) but these injectors are becoming more expensive as everone is hip to this mod. There are many other OEM injectors from other cars that are suitable for use in Hondas... just make sure you also get the fuel injector plugs as these are usually different between makes, as well as investigating whether the injectors are Peak And Hold Injectors or Saturated Injectors as a resistor box may be needed.
