Here's the difference beetween US and Canadian PM6 
First you have to know that US Civic/CRX have a external Electrical Load Detector or ELD. It's located in the fuse box. Canadian car don't have this. If you use a US PM6 in a canadian car, you will get a ECU trouble code #20 (CEL20). You will not be able to do datalogging when you get a CEL. 
The ROM are identical. So, to convert a US PM6 to a Canadian one, you have to remove BR1 and you're done. You will not get a CEL20 anymore
